From Trees to Fabric

Obsessing over the reclaimed tree bark fabrics from Uganda on source4style. They come from mutuba trees cultivated on eco-certified farms.

Construction is half the battle, fabrication makes or breaks the design.

The textures are unreal. Inspiration.

Form Meets Texture

Preparing for Spring.

White Dreams is a series of white on white, 2-dimensional paintings that developed from an effort to recycle used art supplies that include old canvases, paint and excess fabric & trim left over from garment design projects. The objective was to implement a creative process that was equally organic as the subject; ethereal floral landscapes. Each composition, celebrating the immaculacy of nature, is achieved through building layer upon layer of freely dripped ceiling paint while fabric flowers, some of which are hand-crafted through sewing, burning and embellishment, are adhered throughout the canvas. The final rendering, completed entirely in one pure color, surrender the focus to the fundamental elements of texture and form.
