The Power of the Lens

We move so fast that we often take for granted the details surrounding. If you slow down and take a closer look, you'll find the difference. The lens never lies, it owns the moment.

I am not a photographer

But my friend Cliff is. He dropped by today and I had a chance to view his portfolio, it inspired me to go back and look into mine. It's important to surround yourself around artistic minds, maintain the creative momentum.

These are some black & white prints I shot with my Dad's 30+ yr old 35mm.
I developed these about 4 years ago, and have not been in a darkroom since. The process is rather involved but there is something supremely therapeutic about developing your own film, finding your way through the chemicals and watching your images comes to life. Magic.
